From NFL Robots to Synth Dimensions: Chris Watson’s ALTLOG Project

My cousin Christopher Watson built Cleatus — you know, the transformer robot that Fox trots out every NFL Sunday. Turns out he’s been quietly building something else entirely.

Christopher has an alter ego called ALTLOG, and he just dropped an album called REFRACTOR. There’s also a music video for one of the tracks, “Player One Start,” and honestly — you’ve got to see it.

I don’t want to oversell it and set the wrong expectations, so I’ll just say: if you know Christopher’s work with motion, design, and spectacle, this feels like a natural extension of that creative brain into pure sound and vision. It’s the kind of thing where you finish watching and think, of course he also does this.
